DETERGENT
Detergent is a mixture of various ingredients, which are used to assist cleaning. Compared with soap, detergents have advantages such as having better washing power and are not affected by water hardness.
DETERGENT MANUFACTURE
Based on the content of the active group, the detergent is classified into two types, namely: hard detergent and soft type detergent.
1. Detergent Type Of Hard
Hard type detergents are most difficult to be destroyed by microorganisms although they are removed and the effects of these detergents will cause environmental pollution, especially water pollution. Examples of hard detergent are Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate.
The process of making Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate ie by reacting Alkyl Benzene with Trioxide Sulfur (SO3). In this case, the commonly used Alkyl Benzene is the type of Deodecil Benzene (C6H5C12H25). The reaction between Deodetane Benzene and Trioxide Sulfur will produce Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate (C6H4C12H25SO3H) with the following reaction equation.
C6H5C12H25 + SO3 è C6H4C12H25SO3H
Furthermore, Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate is neutralized with
Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) to produce Sodium Deodecyl Benzene Sulfonate
(C12H25C6H4SO3Na) with the reaction equation:
C6H4C12H25SO3H + NaOH è C12H25C6H4SO3Na
2. Detergent Type Of Soft
Soft type detergent is called because the surface tension
reducer is easily damaged by microorganism, so it is no longer active after
use. So this kind of detergent is friendly with the environment. Examples of
soft type detergents are Lauryl Alkyl Sulfonate, while the example of Lauryl
Alkyl Sulfonate is Sodium Lauryl Sulphate.
The process of making Lauryl Alkyl Sulfonate by reacting
Lauryl Alcohol with Acid Sulfuric acid produces Lauryl Sulfate acid with the
following reaction.
C12H25OH + H2SO4 è C12H25OSO3H + H2O
Lauryl Sulfate acid is neutralized with NaOH solution to
produce Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, with the following reaction equation.
C12H25OSO3H + NaOH è NaC12H25SO4
Please give me negative impact from detergent?
BalasHapusthanks your ask indri...
Hapusfor example negative impact from detergent is When after we wash clothes, the skin of our hands feel dry, hot, blister, cracked, easy to peel to cause itching and sometimes become allergic and Waste generated by detergents can damage the aquatic ecosystem
BalasHapusGive me another use of detergent?
thanks your question atma...
HapusYou can use detergent for fungicides, Absorbs the oil spill.
Why the liquid detergent can be bubble? I mean likes the kids playing
BalasHapusWater surface tension weakens when water is mixed with detergent. The water surface is stretchable and widespread. When we blow air into it it will expand like a water-filled balloon and bubbles occur.
HapusHi yogii. Between two types of detergent, which detergent is widely produced in Indonesia? And give your opinion!
BalasHapushii rahmi..
HapusI think that is often produced in Indonesia is a soft type of detergent more environmentally friendly
Detergents are of many kinds. What makes the price of detergent different, some expensive and cheap? What chemical compounds are used that make the price very expensive?
BalasHapusBefore I apologize for not knowing exactly the prices of detergents, but that makes the price expensive because of the size and quality, the example of quality is low foam matic detergent designed (low foam) but with a concentrate formulation twice regular detergent. Its use is more efficient than ordinary detergent but more effective cleaning clothes. So do not excessive use of it
HapusWhat are the advantages of Detergent Type and Soft Detergent Type?
BalasHapusfor soft detergent type this kind of detergent is friendly with the environment.
HapusWhy detergent can make our skin hot what causes and what content is contained therein?
BalasHapusChemicals that are detergent ingredients include hard and some are soft. The soft-detergent is contained at the pH level (acidity or alkaline level) of the chemical substances in the detergent, especially from the chemical chain form and the surfactant functional group type.
HapusFrom the very basic pH of detergent (9,5-12), it is known that detergent is indeed corrosive. It can cause skin irritation. While on the chemical chain arrangement of surfactants there is a formulation that the longer and branched chain surfactant, the harder the detergent. While the type of functional group, the sulfonate functional groups are harder than the carboxylic functional groups.
when hard water react with detergent, what will happen?
BalasHapusThere will be no foam
HapusIncluding into the manifold of detergent, hydrophilic or hydrophobic?
BalasHapusThe detergent has two clusters, the hydrophilic head and the hydrophobic tail. Hydrophobic tail is what lifts the dirt on the clothes and then can be detached from the fabric and dissolved in water caused by the attraction between the hydrophilic head and water.
